The Patrons
The patrons of this ministry are St. Francis of Assisi and St. Alphonsus Liguori. A Simple House is dedicated to observing Franciscan poverty with an Alphonsian love for the poorest of the poor.
The second house opened by A Simple House was put under the patronages of St. Teresa of Avila, St. Therese of Lisieux, and Bl. Teresa of Calcutta. For short it is referred to as a Simple House of the Three Teresas.
The third house opened by A Simple House was put under the patronages of St. Stephen and St. James.
