What is ASH Camp?
ASH Camp is a week-long opportunity to join other campers for hands-on evangelization experience, workshops, prayer, and fun led by A Simple House missionaries. Learn how to run an outreach to grow your home parish, do ministry with the Little Sisters of the Lamb, and hear from Bishop James Johnston while enjoying simple, missionary-style food and lodging with your fellow campers.
When is ASH Camp?
Campers arrive the evening of May 17th, and conference wraps up on May 22nd. Feel free to stay the night of the 22nd and depart on the 23rd.
Where is ASH Camp?
ASH Camp is being hosted at A Simple House in Kansas City, MO. Events will also be held at the Cathedral of the Immaculate Conception and the Catholic Center in downtown Kansas City.
Is food provided?
Breakfast, lunch and most dinners are provided. Please note if you have dietary restrictions in your registration.
Where do we stay?
Women will be camping at A Simple House. Men will be camping at a nearby parish.
Do I need transportation?
A Simple House will provide transportation to all of the events during the Evangelization Workshop.
Will there be airport transportation/which is the closest airport?
We will provide transportation from the Kansas City International airport. You can also drive, take a train, or ride a bus. We will contact you two weeks before ASH camp to find out if you will need to be picked up.
Is there parking if I drive?
What if I have to arrive late or can't stay for the whole week?
Please make us aware of your limitations, and we can discuss if it is possible.

Will we go to Mass every day?
What will a typical day look like?
Every day will begin with grand silence and Morning Prayer, followed by a morning and afternoon session. Each session will be either a workshop, talk, hands-on ministry, or something fun. Evening activities will be optional, and daily Mass will be built into the schedule.
A more complete schedule will be published a few weeks before the event.
What will be some highlights during the week?
Serving with the Community of the Lamb in KC. Q&A with the Bishop of KC. Going door-to-door in a poor neighborhood. A field day with fellow campers!
Will there be free time?
Yes. Expect a few evenings and a half day of free time during the camp.
We will have planned recreational and spiritual options offered throughout the week.
