OUR MINISTRY
Missionaries visit families in project neighborhoods and the homeless in their camps. These visits aim to create an authentic friendship that benefits the poor and glorifies God. These friendships last for years and may continue even after missionaries move out of A Simple House.
OUR METHODFriendship evangelization is the method we use to spread the Gospel. We serve each person in the context of a unique friendship. Our missionaries help the poor carry their burdens and accompany them in their efforts to improve their lives and grow closer to Christ. Our work is an experiment in Christianity. We believe there is no official handbook or recipe for serving the poor. Our missionaries strive to bring the Good News to the poor in new and creative ways. A Simple House missionaries manage a monthly budget of a few thousand dollars, and everyone decides how the money will be used to serve the poor. We rely on providence by practicing personal and corporate poverty, and our missionaries do not financially profit from their work.
